Sage Intacct has their Quarterly Release scheduled for the evening of Friday February 21, 2020. While logged into Intacct, you can click on the Home Page and view the Release Notes and even watch some release videos to learn more.
When I looked at the list, I saw several that people have been requesting for quite a while. I was delighted to see they were added - in fact I was doing the “happy dance.” These new features all provide for greater efficiency.
Here are my favorites:
- Reopen and correct a Bank Reconciliation from several months ago without disturbing the subsequent reconciliations. This is going to save a lot of time at month end.
- Apply Allocation Rules to Purchasing transactions. This feature has been available in Accounts Payable and now will be available in Purchasing. People have been requesting this for years.
- More easily view and apply Attachments to Journal Entries from the Journal Entry List. Now you won’t need to open the Journal entry to do this. I think this is going to prove to be very popular.
- Mobile device access provides the same UI functionality. Take advantage of all the great new UI options while on your phone, tablet, or other mobile device. So you can view your Dashboards, drill down to the underlying transactions, look at the attachments, and even approve transactions while on the go.
